Of the different types of primaries, the open primary allows the voters the most choice. A closed primary is the most restrictive type of primary and requires voters to be a registered voter of the party in which they are voting. An open primary is the opposite. It is the least restrictive and gives the voters the most choice. It allows voters to cross party lines and vote in any primary, regardless of their political affiliation.

A significant turning point in WW II, the Battle of Britain ended when Germany's Luftwaffe failed to gain air  superiority over the Royal Air Force . Britain's decisive victory saved the country from a ground invasion from the enemy and proved air power alone could also be used to win a major battle.
