Answer:frog 1

Step-by-step explanation:

Frog 1 jumps 80cm in 5 sec

Frog 2 jumps 15cm in 1 sec

The rule says each frog must cross the finish line which is 5m away to win the race

If Frog 1 jumps 80cm in 5 sec, then frog 1 jumps 80/5 = 16cm in 1 sec

Converting from cm to m

1 m = 100cm

For frog 1, 16cm = 15/100 = 0.16m

For frog 2, 16cm = 15/100 = 0.15m

Frog 1 takes 5/0.16 = 31.25 sec to run the finish line

Frog 2 takes 5/0.15 = 33.33 sec to run the finish line

So frog 1 will win the race

What is similar about a line segment and a line? What is different
sergiy2304 [10]

Answer:

A line segment has two endpoints. It contains these endpoints and all the points of the line between them. You can measure the length of a segment, but not of a line. Line segments are only a line that goes from one point to another, and lines go on forever. However, a line segment is also part of a line.

Hope this helps!

Which graph represents the circle given by the equation x + y - 4x + 9y -7 = 0?
PSYCHO15rus [73]

The graph of the circle equation is graph (d)

How to determine the circle?

The equation is given as:

x^2 + y^2 - 4x + 9y -7 = 0

Rewrite as:

x^2 - 4x + y^2 + 9y = 7

Express (x^2 - 4x) and (y^2 + 9y) as perfect squares.

So, we have:

(x - 2)^2 + (y + 3)^2 = 7 + 4 + 20.25

Evaluate the sum

(x - 2)^2 + (y + 3)^2 = 31.25

A circle equation is represented as:

(x - h)^2 + (y - k)^2 = r^2

Where

Center = (h, k)

Radius = r

So, we have:

(h, k) = (2, -3)

r^2 = 31.25

r = 5.5

The circle that has a center of (2, -3) and a radius of 5.5 is graph d

Hence, the graph of the circle equation is graph (d)

In a horse race, the odds in favor of the first horse winning in an 8-horse race are 2 to 5. The odds against the second horse w
Nataly_w [17]

The probability that the first horse wins is 2/7. The probability that the second horse wins is 3/10. Since the events that the first horse wins and the second horse wins are shared exclusive, the probability that either the first horse or the second horse will win is :

2/7 + 3/10= 41/70

Hope this is correct.
