The Flip-Flop-Alot Company makes and sells flip-flops. They have one linear function that represents the cost of producing flip-

flops and another linear function that models how much income they get from those flip-flops. Describe the key features that would determine if these linear functions ever intersected.

Well if you start at zero for the cost and go to $10 which would represent the cost of one flip-flops and it goes up at a 10 to 1 ratio so your linear function for that would be f(x)= 10x 10 being the cost per production of flip-flops and x being the number of flip flops. then you would have the a $15 dollar sell rate or which would be a $5 extra rate. so then as you graph what would you get?

The equation that projects the cost of manufacturing intersects the line that reflects the revenue of manufacturing at the equilibrium. This means this quantity at equilibrium is the minimum amount in which the manufacturer has to yield to maximize profit.

4. The sum of iwo numbers is 36. Twice the first
Ludmilka [50]

Answer:

  14 and 22

Step-by-step explanation:

If x is the first number, then 36-x is the second. We are told that ...

  2x -(36-x) = 6 . . . . twice the first less the second is 6

  3x = 42 . . . . . . . . . add 36

  x = 14

  (36 -x) = 22

The numbers are 14 and 22.

The addition is one of the four fundamental mathematical operations, the others being subtraction, multiplication, and division. The total number of students that are in the orchestra, the band, and the choir is 126.

<h3>What is Addition?</h3>

The addition is one of the four fundamental mathematical operations, the others being subtraction, multiplication, and division. When two whole numbers are added together, the total quantity or sum of those values is obtained.

There are 32 students in the orchestra and twice that number in the band. Therefore the number of students in the band is:

Number of students in band = 2 (Number of students in Orchestra)

                                                = 2 × 32 = 64

The number of students in the Choir is the sum of the number of boys and girls. Therefore, the number of students in the Choir is,

Number of students in the Choir = 19 + 11 = 30

Total number of students = 32 + 64 + 30 = 126

hence, the total number of students that are in the orchestra, the band, and the choir is 126.
