Express the diameter of a ground-state hydrogen atom in meters using a power of 10.
REY [17]
Throughout the development of particle physics, scientists have created different models to understand the atom. When we are talking about the diameter of an atom, we would refer to the Bohr radius, which is the radius from the nucleus to the orbiting electron. In this case, a hydrogen atom has one electron, and the Bohr radius in the ground state is 5.29 x 10^{-11} meters. To find the diameter, we just multiply the Bohr radius by 2. diameter = 2 x 5.29 x 10^{-11} meters diameter = 10.58 x 10^{-11} meters diameter = 1.058 x 10^{-10} meters The diameter of a hydrogen atom in ground state is: 1.058 x 10^{-10} meters

Part B
dezoksy [38]

Answer:

5.83g C4H10 x (1 mol C4H10/58.05 g (molar mass of C4H10) x (10 mol H2O/ 2 mol C4H10) x (18.002 g H2O (molar mass of H2O)/ 1 mol H2O=

Answer: 9.04 g of H2O

Explanation:

First set up equation: C4H10 (g)+ O2(g) -> CO2(g) + H2O(g)

Next balance it: 2C4H10 (g)+ 13O2(g) -> 8CO2(g) + 10H2O (g)

Use equation to get moles and plug given

5.83g C4H10 x (1 mol C4H10/58.05 g (molar mass of C4H10) x (10 mol H2O/ 2 mol C4H10) x (18.002 g H2O (molar mass of H2O)/ 1 mol H2O

Why does magnesium nitrate solution react with zinc nitrate solution, but not magnesium nitrate solution?
zhannawk [14.2K]
When answering this question, you must consider the reactivity series. Mg is much higher than Zn in the reactivity series, therefore it can displace the Zn from the solution - displacement reaction.

It seems odd that you'd react Magnesium nitrate with zinc nitrate. Maybe you meant magnesium with zinc nitrate or vice Versa. Because in your case each compound would remain as it is as both Mg and Zn are happy in a relatively stable compound.

As for magnesium nitrate and magnesium nitrate, you cannot achieve a reaction between two substances that are the same. The same applies for Mg and magnesium nitrate. No displacement happens.

Hope it helps!

The initial concentration of reactant in a first-order reaction is 0.27 m. the rate constant for the reaction is 0.75 s-1. what
hjlf
The concentration in mol/l of reactant after 1.5 s is calculated as follows

from first order integrated equation

In (A)t = - Kt + In (A)o where
 At = final concentration =?
A)o =initial concentration =0.27 M
K = constant=0.75
T=temperature = 1.5 s

in( A)t = -0.75(1.5) + in(0.27)

In (A)t =-1.125 +-1.31 =-2.435
In(A)t =-2.435

In (A)t = e
find the e value

( A)t is therefore =0.0876 mol/l
