Relation t is not a function. For it to be a function  then x2 y10 would have to be x2 y4 and x3 y7. I hope this helps

george has to pay $30 in taxes for every $100 that he earns.Last summer he earned $3,680.How much did he pay in taxes.
Ludmilka [50]
We can solve this problem by rule of 3:

$30 (taxes)------------$100
x-----------------------$3,680

x=($30*$3,680) / $100=$1,104

Which of the following is not a way to represent the solution of the inequality 2(x− 1) ≤ 10?
sertanlavr [38]

Answer: D. A number line with a closed circle on 6 and shading to the right

Step-by-step explanation:

Here, the given inequality,

2(x− 1) ≤ 10

2x - 2 ≤ 10

2x ≤ 10 + 2

2x ≤ 12

x ≤ 6 or 6 ≥ x

The value of x is all numbers less than 6 including 6.

⇒ A number line with a closed circle on 6 and shading to the left.

Thus, by the above explanation,

Only option D 'A number line with a closed circle on 6 and shading to the right' is not a way to represent the solution of the inequality.

2) Which variables represent the slope and y-intercept in slope-intercept<br> form?
oee [108]

Answer:

The variable that represent the slope is 'm' and the variable that represent the y-intercept is 'b'.

Step-by-step explanation:

The equation of a line in slope-intercept form is given as:

y=mx+b

Here, the variable 'm' is the coefficient of independent variable 'x' and represents the slope of the line.

The constant term in the given equation is 'b' and it represents the y-intercept of the given line.

Slope is defined as the ratio of rise or fall over run. In other words, slope is the ratio of change in value of 'y' with change in value of 'x'.

Slope is positive if change in 'y' is positive with increasing 'x' and it is negative if change in 'y' is negative with increasing 'x'.

y-intercept is the point where the line crosses the y-axis. So, the 'y' value of that point is y-intercept. The coordinates of the point is given as (0, b).

So, the variable used for the slope is 'm' and 'b' is used for y-intercept.
