Answer:

The answer to your question is:

Shelly = 35

Michele = 32

Step-by-step explanation:

Shelly = S

Michele = M

Equations

                     S = M + 3

                     S + M = 67

                    M + 3 + M = 67

                    2M = 67 - 3

                    M = 64/2

                    M = 32

                    S = 67 - 32

                    S = 35

Inga [223]

Original Picture:

Width: 15 cm

Length: 16 cm

Enlarged Picture:

Width: unknown

Length: 48 cm

The new length is 48 cm, and the original length is 16 cm.

How many times larger is the new length than the old length?

We divide 48 by 16 to get 48/16 = 3

The new length is 3 times larger than the original length.

This means that the new width will also be 3 times the original width.

Original width: 15 cm

New width: 3 * 15 cm = 45 cm

Answer: 45 cm
