Crop yields in the United States increased in the decades after World War II despite the fact that the number of farms decreased. This was due mainly to the introduction of new technology that allowed the remaining farms and farmers to be much more productive.

These advances in technology were born out of an interest in research. Agricultural research increased during the 1940s, and this led to a revolution in agricultural technology. The technology allowed farmers to produce equal yields with less people involved.

How did the assassination of Archduke Ferdinand start the chain reaction that caused World War I? Not a multiple choice, I just
lutik1710 [3]
The direct cause of WWI was the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand at Sarajevo on 28 June 1914. However historians feel that a number of factors contributed to the rivalry between the Great powers that allowed war on such a wide-scale to break out. I'm not sure who the assassin was.
