Need help: write the expression in a complete factored form: x²-9x+xy-9y
Galina-37 [17]
Factor this by grouping. Group the first two terms together and then the second 2 terms together. The idea here is that, after grouping, what you can pull out in both groups is the same. Like this:
( x^{2} -9x)+(xy-9y)
Now work on finding a common thing between the 2 groups:
x(x-9)+y(x-9)
See, what you have in common there now is the (x-9) that you can factor out:
(x-9)(x+y)
And that is factored completely.

8. Persevere The perimeter of another quilt had to be 34 feet because he only had that much binding. he wanted it to be 8 feet l
valentinak56 [21]
So, 34 divided by 8 is 4.25 so thats the missing side length. It gives you the other one which is 8. So 4.25 times 8 would be your area. 4.25*8=34. your answer is 34 feet squared.

Rewrite as a simplified fraction.
Contact [7]

Answer: Hi I think that I can help you with your problem!

Let which means

Here a bar over 8 means that there the given decimal value is non terminating and there are a large numbers of 8 present after the decimal.

To solve the given non terminating decimal as fractions, we will have to eliminate the bar term from the given value.

So, we can rewrite as:

......(1)

Now, let us multiply the above with 10.

....... (2)

Now, let us subtract (1) from (2):

So, in simplified fractions:

What is BC ?

__ units
lakkis [162]

Answer:

BC = 25

Step-by-step explanation:

If the base angles are equal, then the sides opposite them are as well.

  • 4x + 4 = 6x - 14 Subtract 4x from both sides
  • 4x - 4x + 4 = 6x - 4x - 14 Combine
  • 4 = 2x - 14 Add 14 to both sides
  • 4 + 14 = 2x - 14 + 14 Combine
  • 18 = 2x Divide by 2 and switch
  • 2x/2 = 18/2 Combine
  • x = 9

But that's not what you are asked for. You want the value of 2x + 7

  • BC = 2x + 7
  • BC = 2*9 + 7
  • BC = 25
