As the mass of an object increases the object will be gaining more velocity and the impact of the object would be that the momentum will be very high... also its pretty much common sense bc since the mass of the car is so heavy it makes it more difficult to stop. so for example <span>To understand this think about stopping a car.  If the breaks are applied gently, the momentum of the car is changed gradually over a long period of time and the force on you the passenger is slight.  If you STOMP on the breaks, the momentum of the car changes immediately and the force on the passenger is great. The impulse is the same for the two situations but the time and force are different.</span>

The tile backslash will be a mixture of colors of five-inch square tiles. One quarter of the tiles will be "Indian Red" one sixt
Vladimir79 [104]

Answer:

The fraction of tiles that will be the color of "sand" is 23/60

Step-by-step explanation:

we know that

The sum of the fractions of the tiles must be equal to 1

Let

x ----> the fraction of tiles that will be the color of "sand"

we have that

\frac{1}{4}+\frac{1}{6}+\frac{1}{5}+x=1

solve for x

Find the Least Common Multiple of denominators

LCM=(2^2)((3)(5)=60

Multiply both sides by 60

\frac{60}{4}+\frac{60}{6}+\frac{60}{5}+60x=60

simplify

15+10+12+60x=60

60x=60-37\\60x=23\\x=\frac{23}{60}

therefore

The fraction of tiles that will be the color of "sand" is 23/60

12 x + 4 y = 42 .............1

16 x + 8 y = 64 .............2

Eliminate y

multiply (1)by -2

Multiply (2) by 1

-24 x -8 y = -84

16 x 8 y = 64

Add the two equations

-8 x = -20
