solve by simplifying both sides of the equation then isolating the variable

z = -1 + 5y/2

Isolate the variably by dividing each side by factors that dont contain the variable

h = -2/3 + 1/g

Move all terms to the left side and set equal to zero, then st each factor equal to zero

n = 3a-8 / a-b

I hope this helps

<em>To solve for a variable, isolate that variable onto one side.</em>

<h3>17.</h3>

Firstly, multiply both sides by 5/2: z+1=\frac{5}{2}y

Next, subtract both sides by 1 and <u>your answer will be z=\frac{5}{2}y-1</u>

<h3>18.</h3>

Firstly, divide both sides by g: h+\frac{2}{3}=\frac{1}{g}

Next, subtract both sides by 2/3 and <u>your answer will be: h=\frac{1}{g}-\frac{2}{3}</u>

<h3>19.</h3>

Firstly, foil a(n - 3): an-3a+8=bn

Next, subtract an on both sides: -3a+8=bn-an

Next, factor out n on the right side of the : -3a+8=(b-a)n

Lastly, divide both sides by (b - a) and <u>your answer will be: \frac{-3a+8}{b-a}=n</u>

Quadrilateral FLAG has coordinates F(1,5), L(6,3), A(3,-1), and G(-2,1). Which
Anettt [7]

Answer:

  • B. Quadrilateral FLAG is a parallelogram because opposite sides are parallel.

Step-by-step explanation:

<em>Refer to attached.</em>

Plot the point and connect in order FLAG.

<u>We see </u>

  • FL ║ GA
  • GF ║ AL
  • FA and GL are not perpendicular

<u>All the above can be confirmed by calculating the slopes:</u>

  • m(FL) = (3 - 5)/(6 - 1) = -2/5
  • m(GA) = (1 + 1)/(-2-3) = -2/5
  • These are same.
  • m(GF) = (5 - 1)/(1 + 2) = 4/3
  • m(AL) = (3 + 1)/(6 - 3) = 4/3
  • These are same
  • m(FA) = (-1 - 5)/(3 - 1) = -3
  • m(GL) = (3 - 1)/(6 +2) = -1/4
  • These are negative but not reciprocal

The quadrilateral is a parallelogram.

Correct choice is B

The distance between the two islands shown on the map is 210 miles. A ruler measures the distance on the map is three 1/2 inches
BARSIC [14]
<span>210 miles equals 1 and 1/2 inches (3 1/2"s or 0.5"). 1 and 1/2" is equal to two 3/4" (3/4 + 3/4 = 1 and 1/2). 1.5" is equal to 210 miles, and 1.5" is equal to 2 * .75", you can divide 210 miles by two, which gives you 105 miles.</span>
