This is how the first one would be done. sorry if it’s a little messy the answer is 9. but try using photomath for the rest. it gives you the answer and explains how to do it

Find the coordinates of the point three tenths<br><br> of the way from A(-4, -8) to B(11, 7)
Leviafan [203]

let's first off take a peek at those values.

let's say the point with those coordinates is point C, so C is 3/10 of the way from A to B.

meaning, we take the segment AB and cut it in 10 equal pieces, AC takes 3 pieces, and CB takes 7 pieces, namely AC and CB are at a 3:7 ratio.

\bf ~~~~~~~~~~~~\textit{internal division of a line segment}&#10;\\\\\\&#10;A(-4,-8)\qquad B(11,7)\qquad&#10;\qquad \stackrel{\textit{ratio from A to B}}{3:7}&#10;\\\\\\&#10;\cfrac{A\underline{C}}{\underline{C} B} = \cfrac{3}{7}\implies \cfrac{A}{B} = \cfrac{3}{7}\implies 7A=3B\implies 7(-4,-8)=3(11,7)\\\\[-0.35em]&#10;~\dotfill\\\\&#10;C=\left(\frac{\textit{sum of "x" values}}{\textit{sum of ratios}}\quad ,\quad \frac{\textit{sum of "y" values}}{\textit{sum of ratios}}\right)\\\\[-0.35em]&#10;~\dotfill

\bf C=\left(\cfrac{(7\cdot -4)+(3\cdot 11)}{3+7}\quad ,\quad \cfrac{(7\cdot -8)+(3\cdot 7)}{3+7}\right)&#10;\\\\\\&#10;C=\left( \cfrac{-28+33}{10}~~,~~\cfrac{-56+21}{10} \right)\implies C=\left( \cfrac{5}{10}~~,~~\cfrac{-35}{10} \right)&#10;\\\\[-0.35em]&#10;\rule{34em}{0.25pt}\\\\&#10;~\hfill C=\left( \frac{1}{2}~,~-\frac{7}{2} \right)~\hfill

Choose the equation that satisfies the data in the table.
KengaRu [80]

The equation that satisfies the data in the table is,

y = -4x - 4 [Option D]

Definition of an Equation:

An equation is defined as a mathematical assertion in which you use mathematical symbols to demonstrate the equality of two amounts. A combination of expressions with variables and constants on either side of the equality sign make up an equation.

The (x, y) coordinates from the given table are,

(-1,0), (0, -4), (1, -8)

Now, these points must satisfy the required equation.

Considering the first point (-1, 0), if we substitute these values of x and y coordinates in y=4x-4, the equality is no longer maintained.

Similarly, (-1,0) does not satisfy the second and third equations, that are, y = -x + 4 and y = x + 4, respectively, either.

Taking the fourth equation, y = -4x - 4

Putting x = -1 in this equation, we get,

y = -4(-1) - 4

y = 4 - 4

y = 0

Likewise, this equation satisfies the rest of the data in the table too.

Therefore, y = -4x - 4 is the required equation.

"Verify the identity of (sinx cosx)^2/sinx cosx = 2 + secx cscx"
nata0808 [166]

(sinx + cosx)^2/((sinx)(cosx)) = 2 + (secx)(cscx)
<span>(sinx + cosx)^2/((sinx)(cosx)) = 2 + 1/(sinxcosx); subtract 1/sinxcosx both sides </span>
<span>(sinx + cosx)^2/((sinx)(cosx)) - 1/(sinxcosx)= 2; multiply through by sinxcosx </span>
<span>(sinx + cosx)^2 -1 = 2(sinxcosx) </span>
<span>sin^2 + 2sinxcosx + cos^2 - 1 = 2(sinxcosx); since sin^x + cos^2x = 1 </span>
<span>1 + 2sinxcosx -1 = 2sinxcosx </span>
<span>2sinxcosx = 2sinxcosx</span>

Can someone help me please ?
andrezito [222]

Step-by-step explanation:

For A

The name of two similar triangles is ABC and CED.

For b

If two pairs of corresponding angles in a pair of triangles are congruent, then the triangles are similar. We know this because if two angle pairs are the same, then the third pair must also be equal. When the three angle pairs are all equal, the three pairs of sides must also be in proportion.

Here

< BAC = < CED ( given)

<ACB = < ECD ( vertically opposite angles)
