I believe many structures within the kidney rely on the fluid pressure. These includes, the glomerulus, Bowman;s capsule, and the tubules together with all the parts of  the kidney that rely on the fluid pressure to move the urine components along. Fluid pressure also enhances processes such as ultrafiltration, that takes place in the glomerulus.
