What is the value of x?
olchik [2.2K]

Answer:

x = 4 sqrt(2)

Step-by-step explanation:

This is a right triangle so we can use trig functions

sin theta = opp/ hypotenuse

sin 45 = 4/x

Multiply x to each side

x sin 45 = 4/x *x

x sin 45 = 4

Divide each side by sin 45

x sin 45 / sin 45 = 4 /sin 45

x = 4/ sin 45

We know sin 45 = sqrt(2)/2

x = 4/ sqrt(2) /2

x = 8/ sqrt(2)

We do not leave a sqrt in the denominator so multiply by sqrt(2)/ sqrt(2)

x = 8/ sqrt(2) * sqrt(2)/sqrt(2)

x = 8 * sqrt(2) /2

x = 4 sqrt(2)

How many times would you expect to role a 2 on a 6 sided die in 50 trials
Keith_Richards [23]
The six sided die has 6 sides (with numbers 1,2,3,4,5 and 6).  That's why the probability to roll number 2 in one trial is equal to \frac{1}{6}.If you'll dol  50 trials, then you can expect \frac{50}{6}= \frac{25}{3} times to roll number 2 (8 or 9 times).

What step did she do wrong<br> or did she get it right?
Elenna [48]

Answer:

Priya got it right.

Step-by-step explanation:

I wouldn't have done it the way she did, but it's still correct. You can check with a calculator (if Khan Academy allows you to) or do it like this:

If f = 4, then f ÷ 0.25 should be 16.

4 ÷ 0.25 = 16

So, Priya got it right.
