Answer:

Eating food without washing hands is one of the most important activities which is an example of poor personal hygiene.

Explanation:

Most of the illness in our body is caused by poor personal hygiene. Many activities results in poor personal hygiene but washing of hands before and after eating food is most necessary activity which should be followed to have a high standard of personal hygiene because we use our hands for different purposes due to which our hand contains lots of bacteria which can go in the body while eating food by hands and can cause disease.

Further explanation.

Personal hygiene includes the overall cleanliness of the body and the clothes that we wear which help us to preserve ourselves from day to day illnesses. So personal hygiene includes activities like proper bathing, washing hands before and after a meal, brushing our teeth daily and many other activities.

All the activities are necessary to gain overall good personal hygiene but washing hands regularly and before and after a mean contributes more to a personal hygiene of a person because bacteria can easily enter our body through food while eating with hands if the hands are not properly washed.

Our hand contains bacteria like Staphylococcus aureus, E.coli, Pseudomonas, Klebsiella, etc which can cause severe illnesses like vomiting, diarrhea, and other food borne infections. Washing hands with water decrease bacterial count by 23 percent and this percentage can be increased by washing hands with disinfection.

Therefore eating food items without washing hands is the activity which is an example of poor personal hygiene.
