If you roll a fair six-sided die and a fair four-sided die, what is the probability that neither die shows a 1?

3 0
For the first die, 5 out of 6 are not 1.
That is 5/6.
For the second die, 3 out of 4 are not 1.
That is 3/4.
Multiply 5/6 by 3/4 to get the probability.
5/6 x 3/4 = 20/72
Simplify once to get 10/36.
Do it again to get 5/18.
In decimal form it is 0.2777 and in percent form it is 27.77%.
Hope this helps!

(Number 5)help plzzz
EleoNora [17]

Answer:

See below.

Step-by-step explanation:

So we want to prove that:

\sqrt8+\sqrt2=3\cdot 2^{\frac{1}{2}}

First, simplify √8. This is the same as:

\sqrt8=\sqrt{4\cdot 2}=\sqrt4\cdot\sqrt2=2\sqrt2

Therefore, our equation is now:

2\sqrt2+\sqrt2=3\cdot2^{\frac{1}{2}}

Combine like terms on the left:

3\sqrt2=3\cdot 2^\frac{1}{2}}

The square root of something is the same as taking that number to the one-half power. Thus:

3(2)^\frac{1}{2}}=3\cdot 2^\frac{1}{2}}

Rewrite:

3\cdot2^\frac{1}{2}}\stackrel{\checkmark}{=}3\cdot2^\frac{1}{2}}

And we're done!

Joel has twice as many cd’s as M has.Subtracting 7 from the number of cd’sJoel has and dividing by 3 equals the number of cd’s B
mel-nik [20]

Answer:

M has 41 CDs

Step-by-step explanation:

Joel = 2 x M

(Joel -7) / 3 = Black

Black = 25

Joel - 7 = 3 x Black = 3 X 25 = 75

Joel = 75 + 7 = 82

M = 82 / 2 = 41

Find the standard form equation <br> of the Hyperbola -2y-82+9x^2=y^2
ehidna [41]

Answer:

x²/9 − (y + 1)²/81 = 1

Step-by-step explanation:

-2y − 82 + 9x² = y²

9x² = y² + 2y + 82

9x² = y² + 2y + 1 + 81

9x² = (y + 1)² + 81

9x² − (y + 1)² = 81

x²/9 − (y + 1)²/81 = 1
