Collinear points can be coplanar because a plane is defined by <u>three</u> points not on the same line, and a line is defined by <u>two </u>points so you have another point which makes this statement true.
Coplanar points can not be collinear because in a plane all three points cannot be on the same line and to be collinear they would have to be.
