In the chapter, “Vincent in Arles,” van Gogh is able to complete many paintings in a very short amount of time. To fully underst

and van Gogh's talent, use different resources to find out how much time a painter usually spends on a single painting. Perhaps, you could visit a local museum and speak to the curators. You might interview an artist. Or, look online to find basic biographical information about other artists. It will be interesting to see if other painters can paint as quickly as van Gogh. Report your findings in a well-crafted paragraph.

All this combined can be added to the time it takes to paint a painting. So the answer to “How long does it takes to paint a painting?” could be 2 hours, a day, a week, plus 25 years; 25 years of experience.

Now, I don't have the time to go to the library or interview an artist, but I am an artist myself, so I think I can do this question. Painting can take anywhere from 2 hours to 2 months. It depends on how inspired you are, how much experience you've had, and how much you like what you are doing. Vincent van Gogh was very inspired by his surroundings and had been painting for 25 years at that time, so it's no surprise that he was able to make so many paintings in such a short time span.

This is speculation, so please get a second opinion.
I think it's c, because the adults, in this passage, are teaching children how to behave, and therefore a and b are ruled out. d could have possibly been one, but I think that it would not be, because the adults are not explicitly setting clear examples for their children.
Again, you should get a second answer before you answer this.

The critics declared the play a winner. What kind of complement is indicated by the bolded word?
FinnZ [79.3K]
Assuming that the bolded word is winner, the correct answer is object complement.
The word winner refers to the word play - and given that the word play is the direct object of this sentence, then the word winner will be its complement - it will complete it, and answer the question What did the critics declare the play to be?
It cannot be a predicate nominative because it is not preceded by a verb. It cannot be a direct object because that is the play. It cannot be a predicate adjective because it is a noun, not an adjective.
