Answer:

d. appreciated by only a small, esoteric audience.

Explanation:

Based on other sources, the options for this question are:

a. widely popular with concert going audiences.

b. reminiscent of late Romantic music.

c. banned for being too radical.

d. appreciated by only a small, esoteric audience.

The correct option is that radical, avant-garde music was appreciated by only a small audience. This was mainly due to the experimental and innovative nature of such music. Avant-garde music was a consequence of the movement known as Modernism. Modernism wanted to create a different type of art that better reflect the "new" human reality following World War I. In order to do so, artists created art that was extremely different from everything that had existed before, which meant that audiences did not immediately appreciate the work.

How did the printing press aid in spread of the Reformation?
coldgirl [10]
The development of printing initiated revolutionary changes that would change all of Europe. Such changes included an era of mass production of books. Then, as the availability and number of books increased, more people learned to read and write.

As reading and writing became more common, many more Christians could already read the Bible. As a result, the ideas of religious reformers spread faster and to a larger audience than ever was, and the movement known as the Protestant Reformation would unleash forces that would shatter Christian unity in Europe.

1).What was the purpose of the Monroe DOctrine?
IgorLugansk [536]
1) To warn European Powers not to get involved with the affairs of the Western Hemisphere. That the Western Hemisphere would not further be colonized by Europeans, and the U.S. would leave existing Colonies alone; not involved in their International affairs or wars.
2) President James Monroe wanted to make sure that Europe did not take Spain's colonies, as many were on the verge of their own independence. Prussia, Austria, and Russia had formed the Holy Alliance with the goal of defending monarchical government. It was a precaution really.
3) The United States was prosperous, as we no longer had to worry about wars, we could focus on trade to gain a better economy. Also the Europeans benefited from the fact that they could not stand another war and win, due to previous wars which had left them disorganized and slowly building back the economy.

hope this helps
