8 0

step.1 turn both of the numbers into fraction

24x8=192, because 8 out of 8 is 1. Plus one equals to 193/8

1x2=2 plus 1 equals to 3. 3/2

step.2 turn the bottom numver the same

because 2x4 is 8 from the bottom

3x4 is 12 so the lemonade she sampled is 12/8

step.3 substract

193/8-12/8you keep the bottom the same substract the top.

193-12

the answer is : 181/8

olganol [36]

Answer:

x = 50

Step-by-step explanation:

SU is a midline segment and is one half the measure of VW, thus

VW = 2SU , that is

x - 46 = 2(x - 48) ← distribute

x - 46 = 2x - 96 ( subtract x from both sides )

- 46 = x - 96 ( add 96 to both sides )

50 = x

Determine the value of y, if x is –9.<br> y= | x | +1<br> Answer:
kakasveta [241]
Since x = -9, you substitue the X for -9.
your equation would then be y = |-9| +1
|x| is absolute vale and makes everything inside positive.
so really it is y = 9+1
y = 10

How much more interest is owed on $900 for 9 months then for 6 months? 6 months = 2.4% rate 9 months = 2.9% rate
stiv31 [10]
Keeping in mind that 6 months is not even a year, since there are 12 months in a year, then 6 months is really 6/12 years, and 9 months is 9/12 years, then

\bf ~~~~~~ \textit{Simple Interest Earned on 9 months}\\\\&#10;I = Prt\qquad &#10;\begin{cases}&#10;I=\textit{interest earned}\\&#10;P=\textit{original amount deposited}\to& \$900\\&#10;r=rate\to 2.9\%\to \frac{2.9}{100}\to &0.029\\&#10;t=years\to \frac{9}{12}\to &\frac{3}{4}&#10;\end{cases}&#10;\\\\\\&#10;I=900(0.029)\left( \frac{3}{4} \right)\\\\&#10;-------------------------------

\bf ~~~~~~ \textit{Simple Interest Earned on 6 months}\\\\&#10;I = Prt\qquad &#10;\begin{cases}&#10;I=\textit{interest earned}\\&#10;P=\textit{original amount deposited}\to& \$900\\&#10;r=rate\to 2.4\%\to \frac{2.4}{100}\to &0.024\\&#10;t=years\to \frac{6}{12}\to &\frac{1}{2}&#10;\end{cases}&#10;\\\\\\&#10;I=900(0.024)\left( \frac{1}{2}\right)

check their difference, that much.

in 2015, the population of a small town in florida is 95. if the population increases 15% very year, approximately what will the
ella [17]

Answer:

The approximate population of the town in 2023 will be 291

Step-by-step explanation:

In 2015, the population of a small town in Florida is 95

So, The population of a small town in Florida = 95

Now, The increase in the population of a small town in Florida is 15%

We need to find the approximate population of the small town in 2013

Number of years from 2015 to 2023 = 8 years

So, we need to find the population increase in 8 years with the rate of 15%

Thus, The increased population = initial population × ( 1 + 15%)^8

⇒ The increased population = 95 × 1.15^8

                                                = 290.61 ≈ 291

Therefore, The approximate population of the town in 2023 will be 291
