Answer:

111.

Step-by-step explanation:

The terms in an Arithmetic sequence are a1,  a1 + d,  a1 + 2d..... where a1 is the first term and  d is the common difference,

Therefore for this sequence the common difference is (a27 - a1) / 26

=  (66 - (-12) / 26

= 78/26

= 3.

The nth term an = a1 + (n - 1)d,  so

the 42nd term a42 = -12 + (42-1)*3

= -12 + 123

= 111.

In the right triangle below, tanA = 0.45. What is the approximate length of AB?
kodGreya [7K]

Answer with Step-by-step explanation:

We are given that:

tanA = 0.45

tanA= \dfrac{Perpendicular}{Base}

      =  \dfrac{BC}{AC}

⇒  \dfrac{BC}{AC}=0.45

⇒  \dfrac{9}{AC}=\dfrac{45}{100}

⇒  \dfrac{9}{AC}=\dfrac{9}{20}

⇒  AC= 20

Hence, by pythagoras theorem

AB²=AC²+BC²

AB²=20²+9²

AB²=481

⇒  AB=21.9 units

Hence,  the approximate length of AB is:

22 units

How to solve this problem in the picture above
IRISSAK [1]

Answer:

g=4

Step-by-step explanation:

If you're solving for g, you need to get it alone on one side. The way I did so was to subtract 7 from each side.

15 = 2g + 7

-7            -7

If you do that, the 7 on the right cancels out and you're left with 8 = 2g. To get the g alone, you divide it by it's base on both sides which in this case is 2.

8/2 = 2g/2

That will cancel the 2 out and will leave you with g on the right side and on the left side would be 4 because simple division (8/2=4)

Your final answer should be g = 4
