I will show you how to solve it by solving the 1st, after you will apply the same methodology:

Let the right triangle be ABC, (A the tree house, B the perpendicular to the ground).

Firstly the angle of depression being 32°, then the angle A of the triangle is 48° (32+48=90) then Angle C=42° & B=90°

We know that AB = 14ft, but we need another side to be able to use trigonometry. To that end we use the sin theorem:

AB/ sin 48 = AC/sin90 = CB/sin 42.

To calculate AC: we use AB/ sin 48 = AC/sin90

AB=14 (given) & sin90°=1====>14/0.743 = AC/1 ==> AC=18.938 FT

Use the information given to enter an equation in standard form.

(−1, 1) and (0, 2) .
AVprozaik [17]

First find the slope:

 m = ( 2 - 1 ) / ( 0 - (-1) ) = 1 / 1 = 1

Set up slope-intercept form:

 y = 1·x +2

Now move x and y to the left and leave 2 on the right:

 -x + y = 2

This is also equivalent to x - y = -2, so that just depends if you want your x coefficient to be positive or negative.
