Hypothesis is termed as an explanation which is suggested to either predict possible cause or a phenomenon which is observable.

Theory is an explanation which is unique and well substantiated to proof hypotheses.

A good example of of a theory is Einstein's theory which is a theory because it verified and also tested innumerable times. Einstein's conclusion became a theory.

Example of hypothesis is when a person goes into prison and he joins the other prisoners in the work they do there, like carpentry. Someone may think that prisoner if he is released, he is less likely to commit another crime but this is a guess, he may or he may not.

Method of hypothesis can use it to prove if it is true or false.
