Note: you must isolate the variable you are trying to solve for. Do the opposite to both sides because of the equal sign.

1) solve for y₂

d = y₂ - y₁

Isolate y₂. Subtract y₂ from both sdies

d (-y₂) = y₂ (-y₂) - y₁

d - y₂ = - y₁

Divide -1 from both sides to isolate the y₁

(d - y₂)/-1 = (-y₁)/-1

y₁ = (d - y₂)/-1

2) Solve for b

Isolate the b, subtract c from both sides

a = b + c

a (-c) = b + c (-c)

a - c = b

b = a - c

3) solve for y₁

d = y₂ - y₁

Isolate y₁, subtract y₂ from both sides

d (-y₂) = y₂ (-y₂) - y₁

d - y₂ = - y₁

Divide -1 from both sides.

(d - y₂)/-1 = (-y₁)/-1

y₁ = -d + y₂

hope this helps

1)
solve for y2

y2 = d + y1

2)
solve for b

b = a - c

3) solve for y1

y1 = y2 - d

IrinaK [193]

Answer:

x = amount of real fruit juice used to make Drink A

y = amount of real fruit juice used to make Drink B

Step-by-step explanation:

Let

x = amount of real fruit juice used to make Drink A

y = amount of real fruit juice used to make Drink B

1. The company used 100.5 liters of real fruit juice, then

2. Drink A:

x = amount of real fruit juice used

percentage of real fruit juice

Then

5x = amount of drink A produced

Drink B:

y = amount of real fruit juice used

percentage of real fruit juice

Then

amount of drink B produced

The company makes 30 more liters of Drink A than liters of Drink B, so

What is the distance between the y-intercept of the function f (x) = 5(2) and they-intercept of the linear function, g, represen
zlopas [31]

We need to calculate first the function g(x)

First we calculate the slope

m=\frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}=\frac{-5+11}{-6+9}=2g(x)=2(x+9)-11g(x)=2x+7

the y-intercept of the function g(x) is 7

the y-intercept of the function f(x) is 10

the distance between the y-intercepts of both functions is 3 units
