Pennsylvania founded by William Penn, in 1681 and became the colony to encourage others to practice religion with no restrictions and persecution. By inviting the Europeans from different places, led the colony to increase wealth. Penn maintained democratic principles which served as an inspiration for the United States Constitution. In drafting the institution, Penn declared his faith in man's nature and religious freedom and welcomed all setters from a different place to live together. Voting was introduced but stayed limited by property qualifications. Penn also recognized the rights of the Indians, buying land from them instead of seizing it.
