Well when you go lower with negatives the number gets bigger so
It was -4C then it was 2 lower which is -6C then it got lower again in the evening by 1 degree celcius which gives the answer -7 degrees celcius

Use the identity (x+y)(x^2−xy+y^2)=x^3+y^3 to find the sum of two numbers if the product of the numbers is 28, the sum of the sq
lara31 [8.8K]

Step-by-step explanation:

We have xy = 28, x² + y² = 65 and x³ + y³ = 407.

Since (x + y)(x² - xy + y²) = x³ + y³,

x + y = (x³ + y³)/(x² + y² - xy)

= (407) / [(65) - (28)]

= 407 / 37

= 11.

Hence the sum of the numbers is 11.

Mashutka [201]

Answer: Rs 25,000

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

Retailer sold an electric iron to a customer at a loss of 10%

Suppose the Cost price of iron is x

So, selling price is 0.9x

This price must be equal to 25425+ VAT

\Rightarrow 0.9x=25425-0.13(0.9x)\\\Rightarrow 0.9x+0.117x=25425\\\Rightarrow 1.017x=25425\\\Rightarrow x=\text{Rs }25,000

Thus, the cost price is Rs.25,000
