The Articles of Confederation were made up of 13 articles that stated that certain rights were granted to the national government while other rights were reserved for states. The Articles of Confederation included the following information: 1. United States of America became the official name of the new nation. 2. The US was a league of friendship and mutual defense. 3. There would be uniform rights for citizens in all states. 4. There would be rules for the courts and Congress 5. Nine out of 13 states would be needed for approval of any laws. 6. Guidelines were established for dealing with foreign nations.
