The leaders of this area have previously suggested a deadline, where they would have time to leave the mentioned city. On that date, group of people that consisted of police, people that were in business and politicians attacked the Chinese population. They were forced to leave the city via train and move to Portland. In the next days, everything they used to built, was destroyed.
