Answer:

Viruses depend on the living organisms to reproduce.

Explanation:

Viruses do exhibit most of the characteristics of  living organisms however,  one of the most crucial feature of an organisms is the reproduction is not possible by them without the aid of another host cell which makes them non-living. In general a virus or a virion is defined as the the complex assembly of carbohydrates, proteins and lipids with either a DNA or RNA as genetic material. Another striking feature of virus is there is no temperature regulation.

What unusual cellular characteristic does N. locustae share with the protist Mixotricha paradoxa, the organism discussed in the
KatRina [158]

Answer: Both N.locustae and protist Mixotricha paradoxa do not have a mitochondria.

The mitochondria is a basic cell organelle that palys the role of energy generation for the cell.this energy generated is in the form of ATP.

The organism N. locustae tends to rely on it's host cell that is that grasshopper. This host cell is that in which N. locustae replicates inorder to get a supply of energy.

On the other hand, the organism Mixotricha paradoxa relies on the bacteria endosymbionts to be able to supply it with energy.

What are the three types of osmosis? What happens during each phase?
Vanyuwa [196]
An isotonic solution is when the solute concentration is balanced with the concentration inside the cell , the water movement still moves between the solution, but the rates are the same in both directions, the water is balanced inside and outside the cell .

A hypotonic solution is when the solute concentration is lower than the concentration inside the cell. water moves into the cell and can cause the cell to swell; cells that don’t have a cell wall, such as animal cells, could explode in this type of solution.

A hypertonic solution is when the solute concentration is higher than the concentration inside the cell. In a hypertonic solution, the water moves out of the cell and causes the cell to shrivel.
