Marco Polo is very well known for his travels on this silk road as well as his 24-year journey to Asia. Throughout this time he became very well acquainted with the people he encountered and became a confidant of Kublai Khan. Since Kublai Khan was the Khagan of the Mongol Empire this allowed Marco polo to fit in better.
After world war 1 the United States wanted to isolate themselves from things like that because of how bad the war was. They went as far as to not join the league of nations that their President made himself with other presidents. After the Korean War, they decided to not isolate themselves and meddle as much as possible to prevent the spread of communism because it would strengthen the Soviet Union who was the main enemy.
The Ten Commandments influenced life today in that they influenced aspects of today’s legal and political systems, it influenced it because they serve as indications of how people should behave to maintain harmonious relationships in society.
