Mean = sum of data/number of data pieces
numbers of hours of work per day = 6, 7, 8, 9, 10
sum of data / number of data pieces
6+7+8+9+10/5
40/5
8

The mean of the hours worked each day is 8.
Therefore Ryan is correct. Mean is the calculation of the sum of all the data divided by the number of data pieces. I added all the data together and got 40. There are 5 data pieces. So I divided 40 by 5 and got 8.

Which equation can be used to find the measure of angle gfe? cos−1(startfraction 14.5 over 11.9 endfraction) = θ cos−1(startfrac
nata0808 [166]

The equation that can be used to find the measure of angle GFE is given by: Option B: cos−1(11.9/14.5) = θ

<h3>What are the six trigonometric ratios?</h3>

Trigonometric ratios for a right angled triangle are from the perspective of a particular non-right angle.

In a right angled triangle, two such angles are there which are not right angled(not of 90 degrees).

The slant side is called hypotenuse.

From the considered angle, the side opposite to it is called perpendicular, and the remaining side will be called base.

From that angle (suppose its measure is θ),

\sin(\theta) = \dfrac{\text{Length of perpendicular}}{\text{Length of Hypotenuse}}\\\cos(\theta) = \dfrac{\text{Length of Base }}{\text{Length of Hypotenuse}}\\\\\tan(\theta) = \dfrac{\text{Length of perpendicular}}{\text{Length of base}}\\\\\cot(\theta) = \dfrac{\text{Length of base}}{\text{Length of perpendicular}}\\\\\sec(\theta) = \dfrac{\text{Length of Hypotenuse}}{\text{Length of base}}\\\\\csc(\theta) = \dfrac{\text{Length of Hypotenuse}}{\text{Length of perpendicular}}\\

The missing information, not present in this question are:

  • Length of FG = |FG| = 14.5
  • Length of FE = |FE| = 11.9
  • Angle ∠GFE = θ

Since for the triangle GFE, if we look from the angle ∠GFE, the sides given are hypotenuse FG and the base FE.

Thus, we can use cosine ratio, and then its inverse to find the value of angle θ.

Thus, we get:

\cos(\theta) = \dfrac{|FE|}{|FG|} = \dfrac{11.9}{14.5} \\\\\theta = \cos^{-1}\left(\dfrac{11.9}{14.5}\right)\\\\

Thus, the equation that can be used to find the measure of angle GFE is given by: Option B: cos−1(11.9/14.5) = θ
