To find the median you must put them all in chronological order smallest to largest so 4,4,4,6,7,7,9,9 and start crossing out on each side in till you have one or two numbers in this situation you will have two 6 and 7 making the median 6.5

M=6.5

Median is the middle, m = m is how i remember it.
first put the numbers in order...

4, 4, 4, 6, 7, 7, 9, 9,

mark the numbers off, then the middle number is the median.
if there is an even amount of numbers, you still just find the middle.
the middle of 6 and 7 would be 6.5, so...

the median is 6.5 !

5) Establish the indentity (cot + tan ) sin = sec . Show each step to justify your conclusion.
katen-ka-za [31]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Identities : -

cot = cos / sin

tan = sin / cos

( cot + tan ) sin = sec

LHS

= ( cot + tan ) sin

= ( ( cos / sin ) + ( sin / cos ) ) sin

= ( ( cos sin ) / sin ) + ( sin² / cos )

= cos + ( sin² / cos )

LCM = cos

= ( cos² / cos ) + ( sin² / cos )

= ( cos² + sin² ) / cos

Identity : -

cos² + sin² = 1

= 1 / cos

= sec

= RHS

Hence proved.

A powdered drink mix is added to water at a rate of 32 scoops of mix per gallon of water. What is the unit rate of scoops of mix
VMariaS [17]
Since 1 gallon is equal to 16 cups, the ratio would be 32:16. This represents 32 scoops to 16 cups. If we divided this by the greatest common factor,16, it would be 2:1. Therefore, the answer is A.

If dy/dx= sin x/ cos y and y(0) = 3pi/2, find an equation for y in terms of x
Lubov Fominskaja [6]
dy / dx = sin x / cos y
 We rewrite the equation:
 (cos (y) * dy) = (sin (x) * dx)
 We integrate both sides of the equation:
 sin (y) = - cos (x) + C
 We use the initial condition to find the constant C:
 sin (3pi / 2) = - cos (0) + C
 -1 = -1 + C
 C = -1 + 1
 C = 0
 The equation is then:
 sin (y) = - cos (x)
 Clearing y:
 y = Arcosine (-cos (x))
 Answer:
 An equation for and in terms of x is:

y = Arcosine (-cos (x))
