Answer: Prejudice

Explanation:

In 1954 Gordon Allport published a book titled 'The Nature of Prejudice' where he defined the term prejudice as "an antipathy based on faulty and inflexible generalization. It may be felt or expressed. It may be directed toward a group or an individual of that group".

The cashier judges his elderly customer based on the assumption that due to his age the customer will take time to pay for his goods. The cashier is using a stereotype however at the time he is using it to the extreme through his unhappiness of seeing the elderly customer at his till. The extreme stereotype is prejudice which is described by Allport.

explain why mental disorders should be viewed like any other physical illness.why it important not to stigmatize someone with a
Musya8 [376]

Mental disorders should be viewed like any other physical illness because if we just treat mental disorders like they're nothing, then they are just going to get worse and worse. It's very important to realize what people are going through and treat it with caution and take it seriously.

If we treated mental illness like they way we treat cancer and deceases, then maybe we would make so much more progress than we are currently. This is not a joke and mental illness isn't something that goes away over night, so please view it in a different/precise way and help make an impact on it!

I hope this helped! Have a nice day!
