Answer:

The correct answer is option d.

Explanation:

The process of gene expression in eukaryotes is more complex in comparison to prokaryotes. Unlike prokaryotes, in eukaryotes, the regulation of gene expression is done at various different levels. The gene expression in eukaryotes begins with the control of access to the DNA, which is also known as epigenetic regulation that takes place prior to the initiation of the transcription process.

The process of gene expression takes place in two main stages, that is transcription and translation. Transcription refers to the process of the synthesis of RNA, which is monitored by the association of promoters and enhancers. On the other hand, in translation, the mature RNA molecule is utilized as a template to align the series of amino acids to generate a polypeptide with a particular sequence of amino acids. The process takes place in the cytoplasm with the assistance of a complex known as the ribosome.

The following are the steps of eukaryotic gene expression from beginning to the end:

1. DNA is used as a template to give rise to a pre-mRNA.

2. pre-mRNA further gets processed to give rise to mRNA.

3. The transportation of mRNA takes place in the cytoplasm.

4. The translation of the mRNA sequence is done with the help of ribosomes to produce proteins.

What are bio-fuels considered carbon neutral?
uranmaximum [27]
“The U.S. government considers biodiesel to be carbon-neutral because the plants that are the sources of the feedstocks for making biodiesel, such as soybeans and palm oil trees, absorb carbon dioxide (CO2) as they grow. The absorption of CO2 by these plants offsets the CO2 that forms while making and burning biodiesel.”
