Junior already has 300. So he needs ? to get to 100,000.

100,000 - 300= 99,700.

You can add 99,700 + 300 just to be sure and you will get 100,000 so...

The answer is he needs 99,700 pins.

Find the solution to the system of equations.
N76 [4]

Answer:

x = -2, y = 5.

Step-by-step explanation:

y=−4x−3

y=−2x+1

Because y is common to both left sides:

-4x - 3 = -2x + 1

-4x + 2x = 1 + 3

-2x = 4

x = 4/-2

x = -2.

So y = -4(-2) - 3

= 8 - 3

= 5 .

He length of a rectangle is 7 ft more than twice the width, and the area of the rectangle is 99 ft2 . find the dimensions of the
inysia [295]
Let the width be x

Length= x+7

Area=lw

99=(x+7)(x)
99=x²+7x
0=x²+7x-99
x= -14.04 or x=7.04

Since a length cannot be negative, the width is 7.04 ft and the length (7.04+7)=14.07 ft

Hope I helped :)

Find the area of the shaded region given the radius of each circle is 4. Answer in exact form is preferred.
larisa [96]

In each circle, we have a sector that subtends an angle of 270 deg at the center, with a radius of 4

We can obtain the area of each sector as :

\begin{gathered} \text{Area of sector = }\frac{\theta}{360^0}\text{ }\times\text{ }\pi r^2 \\ =\text{ }\frac{270^0}{360^0}\text{ }\times\text{ }\pi\text{ }\times4^2 \\ =\text{ 37.7 square units} \end{gathered}

Given that there are 4 of such sectors, we have:

\begin{gathered} \text{Area of shaded region = 4 }\times\text{ 37.7} \\ =\text{ }150.8\text{ square units} \\ =\text{ 151 square units} \end{gathered}

Answer = 151 square units
