To find out the answer you need to convert 7 3/8 and 5 1/6 to and improper fraction by multiplying the bottom number by the whole number and then add the top number to overall answer e.g 7 3/8 would be 8 x 7 = 56 + 3 = 59 which would be 59/8

You will need to do this for both mixed numbers then do the operation by creating the same bottom number this can be made simple if you multiply the two bottom numbers and taking away the two top numbers but keep the bottom number the same. If you need to simplify the answer then do so.

Answer:

Part 1) The volume of the storage body is 576 cubic feet

Part 2) To find out how many boxes can she fit in the storage body, divide the volume of the storage body by the volume of each box

Part 3) Sheila can fit 64 boxes into the truck

Step-by-step explanation:

step 1

Find the volume of the storage body

we know that

The volume of the of the storage body is equal to the volume of two rectangular prism

The volume of a rectangular prism is equal to

V=LWH

First rectangular prism (top)

V=(15)(6)(8-6)=180\ ft^3

Second rectangular prism (bottom)

V=(15-4)(6)(6)=396\ ft^3

The volume of the storage body is

V=180+396=576\ ft^3

step 2

we know that

To find out how many boxes can she fit in the storage body, divide the volume of the storage body by the volume of each box

step 3

substitute the given values

\frac{576}{9}= 64\ boxes

therefore

Sheila can fit 64 boxes into the truck

Ann is going to rent a truck for one day. There are two companies she can choose from, and they have the following prices.
ipn [44]

Answer:

Ans: greater than 40 mileage  Company A will charge less than Company B

Step-by-step explanation:

as company A charges a fix amount $93 for any distance and company B charges variable amount starting from $65.there will be a certain mileage after that the amount charged by company B should be greater than company A.

let for greater than m mileage company A will

charge less than company B.

charge for company A for m mileage= $93

charge for company B for m mileage= $65 + $0.70*m

so,

   93  ≤ 65+0.70*m

93-65 ≤ 65+0.70*m -65

  28   ≤ 0.70*m

28*10 ≤ 7 *m

280     ≤ 7m

280/7  ≤ 7m/7

    40  ≤ m
