Competition is a disharmonic ecological relationship that can involve individuals of different species (interspecific), promoting competition for one or more environmental resources: water, food, light and physical space, as well as between individuals of the same species (intraspecific). In addition to other resources, there is also a dispute between specimens of the same gender (male-male feud), seeking reproductive partners able to proliferate fertile descendants.

Diseases are disorders that alter the activities of some organ or even the whole organism, usually giving rise to unpleasant signs and symptoms. predation: Typical plant defenses include physical (thorns, sticky substances) and chemical (toxins, bad-tasting chemicals) adaptations. Predation is an ecological relationship that occurs between individuals of different species and is therefore interspecific. In this case, only one of those involved benefits, so many authors classify it as an inharmonious relationship. Some plants are predatory (feed on small insects) and may have some defenses such as thorns, sticky substances, toxins, among others).
