Answer:

The answer is (1, 6/5, 5/4)

Step-by-step explanation:

So to figure this out, if fractions aren't your thing I would recommend turning these into decimals!

To do this you would.....

divide 6 by 5. 6/5= 1.20

Then

divide 5 by 4. 5/4= 1.25

So now put them in order.

1 is smaller than 1.20 and 1.25.

So 1 is first. Then 1.20 is smaller than 1.25 so 1.20 would go after 1. Lastly 1.25 goes after 1 and 1.20 because 1.25 is the biggest.

I hope this helps!!

By rounding to 1 significant figure , estimate <br><br> 40.73 x 1.06<br><br> Anyone know?
suter [353]

ANSWER: 40

EXPLANATION:

1) 40.73 to 1 significant figure = 40.

2) 1.06 to 1 significant figure = 1.

3) Therefore, we just multiply 40 by 1, which equals 40.

FURTHER EXPLANATION (IF NEEDED):

With significant figures, whole numbers such as 10, 20, 50 etc. have 1 significant figure. This is because the 0 does not count as a significant figure.

With decimals, all numbers after the decimal point are also included as significant figures (even 0). E.g. 40.73 has 4 significant figures and 1.06 has 3 significant figures.

EXAMPLES (IF NEEDED):

Rounding to 2 significant figures:

  • 40.73 = 42
  • 1.06 = 1.1

Rounding to 3 significant figures:

  • 40.73 = 40.7
  • 1.06 = 1.06 (because it's already in 3 significant figures)

Rounding to 4 significant figures:

  • 40.73 = 40.73 (already in 4 significant figures)
  • 1.06 = 1.060 (0 is counted as a significant figure if there is a decimal or another number comes after that 0)

E.g. 1006 has 4 sig figs, while 1060 would have 3 sig figs because the last 0 is not counted as a significant figure. 10.60 would have 4 sig figs because of the decimal.

Matrix question help needed
kramer

The required matrix is:

\left[\begin{array}{ccc}-25&17&0\\8&-1&3\\\end{array}\right]

Step-by-step explanation:

We need to apply elementary row operation -2R₂+3R₁ tothe matrix:

A=\left[\begin{array}{ccc}-3&5&2\\8&-1&3\\\end{array}\right]

Multiplying Row 2 with -2 and Row1 with 3 and adding,

-9 15 6

-16 2 -6

----------

-25 17  0

After applying this operation, Row 1 will be changed while Row 2 will remain same because we get -2R₂+3R₁ -> R₁

The required matrix is:

\left[\begin{array}{ccc}-25&17&0\\8&-1&3\\\end{array}\right]

The coordinates (-2, -2.5) and  (-1, -1) are satisfying the equation so pairs (A) and (B) will be correct.

<h3>What is the equation?</h3>

There are many different ways to define an equation. The definition of an equation in algebra is a mathematical statement that demonstrates the equality of 2 mathematical expressions.

More than one variable may be present inside a linear equation. An equation is said to be linear if the maximum power of the variable is consistently unity.

A formula known as an equation uses the same sign to denote the equality of two expressions.

In another word, the equation must be constrained with some constraints.

Given the equation,

3x= 2y - 1

To know which coordinate satisfies the equation we need to put one by one all three coordinate,

Coordinate (A) ⇒ A) (-2, -2.5)

3(-2) = 2(-2.5) - 1 ⇒ -6 = -6 so it is satisfying.

Coordinate (B) ⇒ B) (0, -0.5)

3(0) = 2(-0.5) - 1 ⇒ 0 ≠ -2 so it is not satisfying.

Coordinate (C) ⇒C) (-1, -1)

3(-1) = 2(-1) - 1 ⇒ -3 = -3 so it is also satisfying.

Hence "The pair (-2, -2.5) and  (-1, -1) are satisfying".

Write the point-slope equation of the line that passes through (7, 3) whose slope is 2.
Vitek1552 [10]

Answer:

y - 3 = 2(x - 7).

Step-by-step explanation:

The point-slope form is

y - y1 = m(x - x1) where m = slope and (x1, y1) is a point on the line.

So the answer is:

y - 3 = 2(x - 7).
