slope = $\frac{change \ \ y}{change\ \ x}$ in this case $\frac{y_1-y_0}{x_1-x_0}$}  when y = 55x $\frac{55*1-55*0}{1-0}$ slope = 55, you can chose any $n$ then you will get $\frac{y_{n+1} - y_{n}}{x_{n+1} - x_{n}}$. Remeber that there are equations like sqare $x^{2}$ where for every x slope is different
