One time I was hanging out with a group of friends that were mostly guys. We all wanted to plan something together so we could h
ave fun and spend some time together. We were all throwing ideas around when finally I suggested that we go go-kart racing. Everyone thought it was a good idea until one of the boys spoke up and said "I don't think that would be fair". I asked him what he meant and he proceeded to say "Well you're a girl, and girls aren't good at racing cars and don't like them". Then some of the boys actually agreed, but me and my friend, who was also a girl, insisted that we do it anyway, and that it doesn't matter what gender we are, we can still have fun. Finally we got them to agree to it and planned a date of when we were going. When the day finally came, we all met up and still the one boy was asking if my friend and I were sure that we wanted to do this. When we finally started the race, I held my own in the front of the pack and actually won! Once we all got out of our karts and met up again, I gave the one boy a look that said "I told you so" and later he apologized.
