If you don’t and need it for donation or er it can cause the body to reject the other blood and cause clots because different blood is not able to mix so it’s important so the person can stay healthy and not have medical issues from it

Well it depends for what like donating blood you can't give blood to a person with o negative if you have o positive because the mixing of them can and most likely well cause blood clots
