Well

It needs to calculate the volume of a rectangular prism (10*20*20) and subtract from it the volume of a half cylinder with a radius of 10 cm and height of 20

as follows:

prism volume = 10*20*20 = 4000 cm^3

half cylinder volume = 0.5 * pi * r^2 * h = 0.5* 3.14 * 10^2 * 20 = 3140 cm^3

Subtract 3140 from 4000, results in: 860 cm^3

I hope that explains what you are stuck in

Determine the degree of the Maclaurin polynomial required for the error in the approximation of the function at the indicatedval
Ahat [919]

Answer:

Fifth degree polynomial

Step-by-step explanation:

Given data:

e^0.3

error = 0.0001

let the function ; f(x) = e^x

note : x = 0.3

The Maclaurin polynomial f(x) = e^x = 1 + x + x^2 / 2!  + x^3/3!  ---  + ∑ x^n/n!

= 1 + 0.3 + (0.3)^2/2! + (0.3)^3 / 3! --- +  ∑ (0.3)^n/n!

Attached below is the remaining part of the solution
