There are many ways you can go. I'm going to start out factoring the whole thing.
(x+9)(x-8) = 0
seperate these into two different equations.
x+9 = 0     and       x-8 = 0
x= -9                      x=8
 Make sure you check it by substituting. Sometimes you might have to reject an answer. In this case you don't. Therefore, 8 and -9 are your roots!

Find a.b. a=3i+2j-k, b=4i+5k
Tomtit [17]

Answer: a\cdot b= 7

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given

a=3\hat{i}+2\hat{j}-\hat{k}

b=4\hat{i}+5\hat{k}

They can be written as

a=3\hat{i}+2\hat{j}+(-1)\hat{k}

b=4\hat{i}+0.\hat{j}+5\hat{k}

Now , the dot product of and b is given by :-

\Rightarrow\ a\cdot b= (3\hat{i}+2\hat{j}+(-1)\hat{k})\cdot(4\hat{i}+0.\hat{j}+5\hat{k})

\Rightarrow\ a\cdot b=3\cdot 4 \cdot\hat{i}\cdot\hat{i}+2\cdot0\cdot\hat{j} \cdot\hat{j}+ (-1)\cdot 5 \cdot \hat{k}\cdot \hat{k}

\Rightarrow\ a\cdot b=12 \cdot\hat{i}^2+0-5 \cdot \hat{k}^2

\Rightarrow\ a\cdot b=12 \cdot(1)+0-5 \cdot (1)[Since \hat{i}^2=\hat{k}^2=1]

\Rightarrow\ a\cdot b=12 -5=7

Therefore , the value of the dot product a\cdot b= 7

What is 5378427 divide by 67
IceJOKER [234]

Answer:Using a calculator, if you typed in 67 divided by 8, you'd get 8.375. You could also express 67/8 as a mixed fraction: 8 3/8. If you look at the mixed fraction 8 3/8, you'll see that the numerator is the same as the remainder (3), the denominator is our original divisor (8), and the whole number is our final answer (8) ...

I don't get this pls help
dmitriy555 [2]

Answer:

  d, e

Step-by-step explanation:

The applicable rules of exponents are ...

  (a^b)(a^c) = a^(b+c)

  a^-b = 1/a^b

__

In this case, it means the product is ...

  (6^1)(6^0)(6^-3) = 6^(1+0-3) = 6^-2 = 1/6^2 = 1/36

__

The 6 without an exponent is equivalent to 6^1, an exponent of 1.

The sum of the exponents is -2.

Add the exponents to simplify the expression.

The value of the expression is 1/36.

An equivalent is any expression that results in 6^-2. One such is (6^5)(6^-7).

__

Only the last two choices, d and e, apply.
