Answer:

The major event of late 1700s that led to the rise of modern Egyptology was the French Invasion of Egypt led by Napoleon Bonaparte which occurred in 1798.

Explanation:

Modern Egyptology which concerns itself with the study of ancient Egyptian history was born out of the event of 1798. In 1798 the French-led an invasion against Egypt, with Napoleon Bonaparte as the leader of the French force. This invasion, though not successful because the French force was subsequently repelled by the British force, however, France made certain discoveries during the subsistence of the invasion which ignited a keen interest in the culture and history of ancient Egypt. Scholars, historians, archaeologists, and scientists began to study native Egypt plants, animals, natural and mineral resources, sculptures, writings, engravings, images, culture, etc. Between 1800 to 1829 comprehensive publications about ancient Egypt were published. Some of the notable discoveries that were made during this period include the Rosetta Stone, the temple and tomb of Luxor, Philae, Dendera and the Valley of Kings. To date, the study of ancient Egypt has continued to be a favorite area of interest/discussion to scholars, historians, and archaeologists.

Do you think the compromise of 1850 was a good solution
vlabodo [156]
I do not think that that Compromise of 1850 was even a very good try at solving the slavery issue. Mainly, it seems to me that the Fugitive Slave Act was sure to make Northerners really unhappy.

Bas_tet [7]

I believe in this case the correct answer that would complete the sentence is that:

In 1935, President Roosevelt began to “enact major new social welfare programs”.

Social welfare programs are programs by the government which are designed to help the citizens from economic hardships and other insecurities of life. Actually, it was President Roosevelt who in 1935 proposed to the Congress federal social relief programs and a retirement programs sponsored by the federal government. The major achievement was the passage of the 37 pages Social Security Act which successfully became a law on August 14, 1935 and became effective in 1939.
