Part A
y=6x+12
y=5x+15
x is the amount of windows, y is the total amount of money
Part B
y=6(8)+12       =60
y=5(8)+15      =52
Company B
Part C
y=6(6)+12       =48
y=5(6)+12       =42
$6 is saved

Galen sold tickets for his church’s carnival for a total of $2,820. Children’s tickets cost $3 each and adult tickets cost $5 ea
Veronika [31]

Answer:

a = 195 ; c = 615

Step-by-step explanation:

So, you want to start by forming your equations...

I will use 'c' for children and 'a' for adults for my variables

3a + 30 = c

(this is because of the info that 30 more tickets than 3 times the amount of children's were sold than adult)

then for equation 2:

3c + 5a = 2820

(this is because of the prices of the tickets and the total money raised)

Then, plug in the equation for c

Your equation should look like:

3(3a + 30) + 5a = 2820

You get:

(9a +90) + 5a = 2820

Then:

14a = 2730

So:

a = 195 adult tickets sold

Plug in a, to find c:

3 (195) + 30 = c

585 + 30 = c

c = 615 children tickets sold

HELP! Need quick - Determine whether the data distribution appears to be positively skewed, negatively skewed, or symmetric.
zalisa [80]

Answer:

A. negatively skewed

Step-by-step explanation:

Plot the values of salary against years

You will notice that;

  • The graph has a long left tail
  • The tail is longer towards the negative direction of the number line

This mean that this graph is a negative skewed graph/left-skewed distribution

In the attached sketch of the plot, join the points with a smooth curve and observe the above mentioned properties.

The x-axis scale ranges from 2000 to 2015 where 0=2000, 1=2001,2=2002......,15=2015

Hope this will give you a visual picture of the negatively- skewed distribution
