We also need contact with the humans/robots in space! Building a space station would confuse other nations as to what we plan to do with said space station. This could cause a war of some sort.
Although all cells have the same DNA only some parts of it are turned on depending on what the cell needs to do, so each cell turns on different parts of itself depending on what its job is.
