You can add placeholders to make them all the same length. A placeholder is always 0.
For example if i wanted to order the numbers below:
5.12
5.6
5.2457
5.238
I would add 0's to make them all the same length as the longest:
5.1200
5.6000
5.2457
5.2380
Now it is easier to order them:
5.12
5.238
5.2457
5.6
Just make sure when you write the answer at the end you take off the extra 0's because sometimes leaving placeholders on might mark you down.
Hope this helps :)

What do you mean?.. Do you mean: e.g. How many tens are in 12.476? So you basically have the 70 as ten right? Well you need to count from the first number (12). So the answer to that example would be 1247. Forget about the decimal point.

tatuchka [14]

For this case we have that the cost of  candies is given by:

3.98 \frac {dollars} {pound}

If we have to:

c: Represents the cost of candy

p: Represents the number of pounds of candy

So, we can raise the following equation:

c = 3.98p

AnnZ [28]
Answer:
x⁴ + 6x² + 9

Explanation:
To answer this question, we will multiply each term from the first bracket by each term from the second bracket and then combine like terms to get the final expression.

This can be done as follows:
(x² + 3)(x² + 3)
x²(x²) + x²(3) + 3(x²) + 3(3)
x⁴ + 3x² + 3x² + 9
x⁴ + 6x² + 9

Hope this helps :)

A 2-column table with 7 rows. Column 1 is labeled Power of 3 with entries 3 cubed, 3 squared, 3 Superscript 1, 3 Superscript 0,
Masja [62]

Answer:

a=1, b=1/3, c=1/27

Step-by-step explanation:

The table is given below:

\left|\begin{array}{c|c}$Powers of 3&Value\\----&---\\3^3&27\\3^2&9\\3^1&3\\3^0&a\\3^{-1}&b\\3^{-2}&\frac{1}{9} \\3^{-3}&c\end{array}\right|

(a)As the exponents decrease, the next term is gotten by a division of the previous term by 3.

f_n=f_{n-1}\div 3

(b)

f_n=f_{n-1}\div 3\\I.a=f_n, f_{n-1}=3,\\a=f_n=3\div 3=1\\II. b=f_n, f_{n-1}=1,\\b=f_n=1\div 3=\frac{1}{3}\\III. c=f_n, f_{n-1}=\frac{1}{9},\\c=f_n=\frac{1}{9}\div 3=\frac{1}{27}

a=1, b=1/3, c=1/27
