Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that a college student concluded "38% of adults in the United States regularly visit a doctor"

For this,  student  questioned 520 randomly selected members of her college

The problem here is

when she is concluding about the adults as a whole in the world, taking into account the total population of adults, 520 is not a proportional size representing the entire population

Also she selected only members of her college.  This may give a biased opinion.

To get correct idea, she must survey a large sample size from all over the countries and come to conclusion

Answer:

y=-4x+9

Step-by-step explanation:

a line parallel to another line means the two lines have the same slope

so you can already cross out the second and last equation

the y-intercept is 9 so it is positive, not a negative 9

Find the radius of convergence, R, of the series. ∞ (−1)n (x − 6)n 4n + 1 n = 0 R =
Rina8888 [55]

I'm guessing the series is

\displaystyle\sum_{n=0}^\infty\frac{(-1)^n(x-6)^n}{4n+1}

Use the ratio test: we have

\displaystyle\lim_{n\to\infty}\left|\frac{\frac{(-1)^{n+1}(x-6)^{n+1}}{4n+5}}{\frac{(-1)^n(x-6)^n}{4n+1}}\right|=|x-6|\lim_{n\to\infty}\left|\frac{4n+1}{4n+5}\right|=|x-6|

The series converges for

|x-6|

which has a radius of convergence of 1.

Assume that x and y are both differentiable functions of t and find the required values of dy/dt and dx/dt.
Mariulka [41]
This problem requires the use of the chain rule: dy / dt = [dy / dx] * [dx / dt]

y = √x => dy / dx = 1 / (2√x)

<span>(a) Find dy/dt, given x = 16 and dx/dt = 7.

dy/dt = [ 1/(2√x) ]  * 7 = [1/(2*4)] * 7 = 7/8

(b) Find dx/dt, given x = 64 and dy/dt = 8.

dx/dt = [dy/dt] /  [dy/dx] = 8 / [1/(2√64) ] = 128
