Well if you row the 1st time and get a 5 and only get to role 2 times the probability of rowing two 3's is half because if you get 1 3 outta 2 rolls that's the 50% chance but lets not for get the 1/6 chance of getting a 3 in the 1st place hope this helps

Otis bought a flashlight for $8 and a sleeping bag for $55 he sales tax was 7% which means 0.07 times the price find the amount
Basile [38]

Answer:

$4.41

Step-by-step explanation:

We have been given that Otis bought a flashlight for $8 and a sleeping bag for $55 he sales tax was 7% which means 0.07 times the price.

To find the amount of sales tax, we will add cost of sleeping bag and flashlight and multiply the sum by 0.07.

\$55+\$8=\$63

\text{Amount of sales tax}=\$63\times 0.07

\text{Amount of sales tax}=\$4.41

Therefore, Otis paid an amount of $4.41 in sales tax.

The 2nd way is that we can find sales tax of each product separately and then add the amount of sales of two items as:

\$8\times 0.07=\$0.56

\$55\times 0.07=\$3.85

\$0.56+\$3.85=\$4.41

Therefore, Otis paid an amount of $4.41 in sales tax.

Which of the following is an equation of a circle in
DaniilM [7]

Answer:

x^2 + (y - 4)^2 = \dfrac{25}{9}

Step-by-step explanation:

The equation of a circle with center at (h, k) and radius r is

(x - h)^2 + (y - k)^2 = r^2

You have center (0, 4).

We get:

(x - 0)^2 + (y - 4)^2 = r^2

x^2 + (y - 4)^2 = r^2

To find the radius, we use the distance formula to find the distance from the center of the circle to the given point on the circle.

r = d = \sqrt{(x_2 - x_1)^2 + (y_2 - y_1)^2}

r = \sqrt{(\dfrac{4}{3} - 0)^2 + (5 - 4)^2}

r = \sqrt{(\dfrac{4}{3})^2 + 1^2}

r = \sqrt{\dfrac{16}{9} + \dfrac{9}{9}}

r = \sqrt{\dfrac{25}{9}}

We need r^2 in the equation of the circle, so

r^2 = \dfrac{25}{9}

The equation of the circle is

x^2 + (y - 4)^2 = \dfrac{25}{9}
