Answer:

The ways are described below.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given a rectangular prism whose given measures are 5 inches by 6 inches. Let these are length and width. Now, he says that by changing one dimension, he can make a prism with a volume of 240 cubic inches. we have to gives the 3 ways Cole can do this.

As volume of rectangular prism is V=lwh

240=5\times 6\times 8

∴ the dimensions of rectangular prism are 5, 6 and 8 inches.

One way Cole can make a prism with volume of 240 cubic inches is to take height 8 inches while the other two length 5 inches and width 6 inches.

Second way Cole can make a prism with volume of 240 cubic inches is to take height 6 inches while the other two length 5 inches and width 8 inches.

Third way Cole can make a prism with volume of 240 cubic inches is to take height 5 inches while the other two length 8 inches and width 6 inches.

Above all the three ways gives three different prism with volume 240 cubic inches.

On average, Adrian's salary is 1.05 times the previous year's salary.
patriot [66]

Answer:

In this question, Adrian initially has $52,000 and his salary is 1.2 times the previous year's salary. This means the income should look like this:52000*1.2^n

30% of his income is budgeted for rent, then the equation should look like this: 30% * income= 30%*(52000*1.2^n)

Adrian's income increases by $2,300 each year as a result of gifts will make this equation:2300n

if you put the 3 equation together you will get

f(n)= 52000*1.2^n - 0.3(52000*1.2^n) +2300n

f(n)= 36400*1.2^n +2300n
