The excretory and urinary are not the same because the excretory system is collective for all system performing the function of eliminating waste from the body like excess water, urea, carbon dioxide and lactic acid but the urinary system focuses on removal of excess water and urea from the body

7. What causes greenhouse gasses to absorb heat when gasses like oxygen do not?
Scilla [17]

Answer:

Hope the below helps!

Explanation:

Greenhouse gases (such as methane, carbon dioxide etc) have lots of vibrating particles. These molecules eventually release radiation, which travels up Earth's atmosphere (because warm air rises), is trapped and adds to the greenhouse gas effect.

Oxygen and nitrogen don't interfere with infrared waves in the atmosphere. That's because molecules are picky about the range of wavelengths that they interact with.

I have attached a diagram that shows the greenhouse effect. It might help to visualise this.

What is the hardy weinberg symbol for the dominant allele
soldier1979 [14.2K]

Answer:

The Hardy Weinberg symbol for the dominant allele is 'p' in his equilibrium equation.

Explanation:

  • The equation given by Hardy: "\bold{p^{2}+2 p q+q^{2}=1}" is known as "Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium equation".
  • The frequency of dominant allele and recessive allele for a trait is represented by 'p' and 'q' respectively.
  • 2pq in the equation is the frequency for heterozygous  genotype.
  • Conditions that must be considered for the Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium equation to satisfy are: no mutations , no flow of gene, large population size, no selective forces , no non-random mating.

The disease called branched-chain ketoaciduria is commonly known as maple syrup urine disease, as the urine of a person with the
rosijanka [135]

Answer:

Recessive

Explanation:

A recessive disorder is expressed in a homozygous genotype only. Most of the recessive disorders are not expressed as the expression of the recessive allele is masked by a dominant allele in the heterozygous state. However, breeding between close relative (inbreeding) increases the homozygosity in the population and allows the expression of recessive alleles that were otherwise not expressed in the population.

According to the given information, the disease is rare and is mostly expressed in the progeny obtained by mating between closely related individuals (the first cousins). Therefore the disease is inherited in an autosomal recessive pattern.
